Dale Canning has enjoyed a career as an executive in Learning and Development and business communications that has spanned over 30 years.

He was co-founder and CEO of Premier Technical Services, a communications company that provided e-Learning and communications services for a host of organizations in the US and abroad. With a large multinational client base, he also co-founded Premier Translation to provide professional localized communications and training programs to offshore clients.

For these organizations, Dale managed day-to-day operations including oversight of sales and marketing activities, project execution and management, staffing and fiscal management. An active instructional designer, writer, and instructor, he also presented training to various audiences on a wide range of business and technical topics.

Through merger, Dale became a partner in Raland Compliance Partners, a regulatory compliance consulting firm in the pharmaceutical, clinical research, and medical device industries. After selling his interest in 2015, he became a Training and Organizational Development Consultant, founding Watershed Creative LLC where he provided full-service learning and development services and leadership and team-building training.

Dale is a 1988 Summa Cum Laude graduate of the San Diego campus of Sanford National University and various technical and leadership courses for the US Navy.

Favorite Band: Dale is a big music fan. Some highlights – Rock and Roll from the late 60s to present, Steely Dan, Supertramp, Peter Gabriel, JJ Grey, early R&B, Blues, Grunge

Favorite Sport: Played and coached hockey, but currently skis in the winter and plays golf (poorly) in the summer. He’s a major fan of a brisk walk.

Favorite Location: He grew up in the Adirondack Mountains of NY and has several favorite locations there. He’s also traveled extensively with a focus on western Europe, but also to locations in Africa, the Middle East, and Japan.

Favorite Food: Steak and taters, or raw fish
